The Aspen Grove
A Pectus Carinatum Support Group
Who Am I?
My name is Paige and I’m a 17 year old from Denver, Colorado. When I was 11, I was diagnosed with Pectus Carinatum and I found myself feeling very overwhelmed, insecure, and isolated. Now, I’ve created this website to develop a community of support for other young girls with Pectus Carinatum.
My Mission
My mission is to develop a community that supports and empowers young girls with Pectus Carinatum. I hope to create a safe space that encourages individuals to share their own experiences in order to feel connected, reassured, and confident.
Finding Connection
When I was younger, it would have really helped me to relate to someone who was going through a similar experience with Pectus Carinatum. Here, you can connect with others in a variety of ways. Under the ‘Our Community’ page, read other people’s stories with Pectus Carinatum and add your own! At the ‘Q & A’ page, see the questions and answers others have asked about Pectus Carinatum or write in your own. Also, I’d love to connect over a zoom or phone call to share my story, advice, and support. If you’re interested, please reach out to [email protected]. All in all, connection can be powerful in overcoming insecurities and gaining perspective and reassurance, so I hope you enjoy the website and find it helpful!
